Medical Disclaimer
Last updated: 10 October 2026
ParentingTipsAndGuide shares general information about pregnancy, child health and parenting. It is not medical advice and does not replace a consultation with your doctor, paediatrician, midwife or pharmacist, who know your family's history.
In an emergency
If your child is having trouble breathing, is unresponsive, has a seizure, or you think they have swallowed something harmful, call 112 in India or 911 in the US straight away. Do not wait to read an article. Our first aid guides are for what to do while help is on the way.
Calculators and tools
Our tools, such as the medicine dose calculator, growth percentile calculator and vaccination tracker, use published references (for example WHO and CDC growth data and the IAP and CDC immunisation schedules) and are tested before release. They give estimates for typical healthy children. Your doctor may recommend something different for your child, and their advice comes first.
- Always check a medicine dose against the label and with a pharmacist, especially for babies under 6 months, premature babies or children with a medical condition.
- A single growth measurement is not a diagnosis; doctors look at the trend over time.
- Due dates, ovulation days and height predictions are estimates.
Reviewed, but general
Health and safety content is checked against sources such as the AAP, CDC, WHO, NHS and IAP and reviewed as described in our editorial policy and by our medical review council. Guidelines change, so if something looks out of date, please tell us at support@parentingtipsandguide.com.
Community and AI answers
Answers in the community and from our AI assistant are not reviewed by clinicians before they appear. Treat them as a starting point and check anything about health with a professional.
