Physical Readiness Signs
- Stays dry for at least 2 hours - Has regular, predictable bowel movements - Can walk to and sit on a potty - Can pull pants up and down - Dislikes the feeling of a wet diaper
Cognitive Readiness Signs
- Understands bathroom-related words - Can follow simple instructions - Shows awareness of needing to go - Can communicate the need to use the potty - Understands where pee and poop go
